How do I configure the script for sending emails?

In the general configuration the script gives you the option to send emails (see Why does the script need to know my email-address? ). For this the script requires a server with an installed "sendmail"-program (or a similar program like "qmail"). Normally WinNT-Servers do NOT have this feature, it's available on most Linux and Unix-servers. Please note that this has nothing to do with Matt Wright's "formmail" or any
other CGI script.

The default-path to sendmail is "/usr/sbin/sendmail", do not include any parameters like "-t", the script will add the appropriate params itself.

If your server doesn't have sendmail installed (ask your administrator if you're not sure) you can enter nothing in the configuration where you'd have to enter the path of the sendmail-program, also deactivate sending notification-emails in both the POTD and the DL-configuration.
